Urika Bio-Balance Active Bacteria Blend for Women to Support Vaginal & Gut Health

Urika Bio-Balance Active Bacteria Blend for Women to Support Vaginal & Gut Health

Urinary Bio-Balance is specially formulated for women to provide a specific blend of active friendly cultures to help maintain a healthy balance of systemic bacteria and vaginal microbiome.

Lactobacillus Rhamnosus and Lactobacillus Reutiri
In a healthy female, Lactobacilli bacteria dominate urogenital flora. They produce lactic acid to create an acidic environment which is crucial for maintaining good vaginal health (vaginal PH should be approximately 3.5-4.5). Additionally, they produce hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins, both of which are antimicrobial compounds which fight off pathogenic bacteria.

This is why we have chosen two Lactobacillus species which have been shown to be clinically effective. L. Rhamnosus and L. Reutiri have been found to be the most effective lactobacillus bacteria to help maintain a healthy vaginal microflora and prevent UTI recurrence. The combination of L. Rhamnosus and lactobacillus reuteri is effective for vulvovaginal candidiasis (yeast vaginitis).

Saccharomyces Boulardii
Saccharomyces Boulardii is a beneficial yeast which is effective in restricting the number of Escherichia coli in the gut (the bacteria responsible for causing most UTIs) as shown by a study conducted in young children.

Bacillus Coagulans
Bacillus Coagulans is a beneficial bacteria which is similar to lactobacillus and can produce lactic acid. Unlike lactic acid bacteria such as lactobacillus or bifidobacteria, Bacillus coagulans forms spores.

The combination of Bacillus coagulans with antibiotics has demonstrated significantly greater efficacy in reducing the recurrence of vaginosis and its symptoms when compared to antibiotic treatment alone. In reducing vaginosis recurrence, the risk of UTI recurrence is also reduced.

Inulin/FOS
A prebiotic fibre which works in synergy with the benefical active strains and stimulates the growth of good bacteria and thus support the effort to help maintain healthy gut, urinary and vaginal function.
