GET RID OF CONSTIPATION: Natural remedies & Laxatives for Quick & Easy Relief

If you’re struggling to get rid of constipation the good news is that your kitchen probably already contains a full armoury of natural remedies suitable for cleansing constipation – an armoury you refer to as food. Foods and herbs are used successfully for constipation relief the world over.

This article will show you how to convert the foods in your kitchen into natural laxatives to quickly cleanse your colon and ease your constipation discomfort. If you don’t have time to alter your eating habits then there’s a quick and easy cheat for you as an alternative.

Let’s look at food first as a key constipation remedy.  On rising you might try hot water with a slice of lemon (plus a tablespoon of grapeseed oil if you can).  This kick-starts the liver.

For breakfast, choose from: prunes, dried apricots and banana with pro-biotic yoghurt; porridge/cereal with dried fruit yoghurt; cereals such as Weetabix, muesli, porridge, bran flakes, All Bran or Fruit & Fibre mixed with lower fibre cereals such as cornflakes or Frosties to increase fibre content.

For snacks choose from: cupful of hot water with 6 dates (drink the water and eat the dates); two oatcakes with spread or hummus or a banana with pro-biotic yoghurt; a sweet potato jacketed with baked beans, baked beans on granary or wholegrain toast; bean and lentil salad (or soup).

A good main meal might include: lightly steamed veg (choose from broccoli, kale, carrots, spinach, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, green leafy cabbage) with fish, chicken or lean meat; short grain brown rice with fish, chicken or lean meat; stir fry made with olive oil with fish, chicken or lean meat; salad made from raw broccoli, spinach, kale and carrots with beets, celery, red kidney beans, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, grapes and apple.

Let’s not forget the desserts:  tinned, fresh, stewed, pureed or dried fruit (choose from apples, apricots, bananas, blackberries, figs, grapes, peaches, plums, raspberries, strawberries, figs, pears, paypaya, pineapple).  You might want to pour pro-biotic yoghurt over the fruit.

Cracked golden linseed is a great dietary supplement to use.  Sprinkle two tablespoons over cereal, onto yoghurt, over fruit, into stir fry’s, over jacket potatoes, in salads or in soups.  When the seeds mix with liquid, the substance goes slimy and when it transfers into your stomach and travels through the colon, it provides a moist passage for evacuation.

Keep your liquid intake up by taking barley juice, lots of water, decaffeinated tea or coffee or cranberry juice.Laxpure Rapid Constipation Relief

Not got time for all of that? A quick alternative or complementary route to get rid of constipation is by use of a well-formulated daily cleansing supplement. There are some very effective supplements on the market and some are more potent than others so you may need to try more than one before finding the perfect match for you. For instance in the Troo Health Care range LaxPure Rapid is an example of one of our more powerful cleansers, whereas Col-Flush Ultra offers a more gentle approach.

Specific herbs which are known to support and improve colon function include liquorice, dandelion, senna, ginger, and yellow dock.  Cascara sagrada is one of the most effective herbs for long-term constipation, especially when it is combined with cayenne and other herbs.
