Eat, Sleep & Exercise For Younger Looking Skin

Although our anti aging serums are very effective, there is more to looking young and healthy than just slapping on a herbal treatment. Our bodies take a lot of stick over the years so it’s important to help them out by looking at lifestyle as well as supplement. So what can we do?

Well for a start your diet will have an impact on how healthy your skin is. Eating fresh fish 3 times a week is very nousihing to your skin as fish is full of Omega 3 Fatty Acids.  You should also try to pile your plate with fruits, vegetables, nuts and seed to provide your daily vitamins. Vitamins A, C and E are particularly important as they can act as anti-oxidants to block harmful free radicals that cause skin damage and even cancer.  You can even supplement the vitamin C in your diet by using a topical vitamin c cream. If you struggle to look after your diet then there are plenty of dietary supplements and topical creams to give you extra support.

And what about while your body rests. Well it goes without saying that our bodies can all benefit from a good nights sleep.  But have you ever thought about how you sleep? When you sleep get in the habit of sleeping on your back. When you sleep on your front or side you only end up burying your face in the pillow, ironing in wrinkles and lines in the process!

Now that you’ve rested and re-fuelled all that is left is for a bit of exercise. Exercise for 20-30 minutes a few times each week to give your skin a nice healthy glow. Getting a sweat in and flushing your skin is a sure sign that oxygen and nourishment in your blood are reaching the capillaries in your skin.

Got your lifestyle in check then? All that is left now is the obvious:

  • Don’t smoke. It’s bad for your body and it’s bad for your skin. If you still puff on the little white nicotine sticks then you need to think about giving up smoking soon.
  • Apply plenty of sun cream – if you’re ever lucky enough to be in the sun in the UK that is. If you do get sun burnt then apply a suitable treatment for burns as soon as possible.
  • Wear sun glasses to avoid crows feet – wrinkles that occur when screwing up your eyes. Even existing crows feet can fade through wearing sunglasses, especially if aided by an effective anti wrinkle serum :-)
