Does Your Body Need To Detox?

Detox goes with new year as presents go with Christmas. Every year we all finish work for the holidays and spend the next 10-14 days lashing copious amounts of food and drink down our necks. Then the New Years hang over wears off and the grim reality sets in that you’re skint, your trousers don’t fit anymore and you can’t be arsed with being back at work. For millions of people the New Years Resolutions have already fallen by the wayside. For the rest of us its time to crack on with whatever self-torture we have chosen for ourselves – with the most common being detox, weight loss and quitting smoking.

Detox, short for detoxification, is the removal of potentially toxic substances from the body. Every day our bodies are exposed to and absorb toxins and, with lifestyle habit changes, this is only getting worse. Through fast food, pollution, and even the toxic materials in most of our drinking water, we are always giving our bodies more and more to cope with. As a result detoxing is gradually becoming more of a way of life for many and the need for it is undeniable.

So how do you know if your body is ready to detox?

When toxins build up in the body they begin to affect bodily functions – especially that of the liver. If the liver starts to struggle then so will you and many of the symptoms aren’t too difficult recognise. Fatigue, skin problems, headaches, allergies, depressed immune systems, obesity, sluggish digestive systems and respiratory ailments are all common in an overly toxic body.

Our bodies are wonderful instruments and do a hell of a lot of detoxing for us. It’s just that in the modern age they sometimes need a bit of assistance. Luckily with the increase in demand has come a host of excellent natural remedies to help with the process.

If you’re suffering from bloating or constipation then take a look at Oxy-Powder or Natural Moves. Both of these are highly effective at cleansing your colon and getting your system back in the flow (pun intended). When you’re using the Oxy Powder just be sure to maintain access to a toilet – you’ll know what I mean when you first give it a go ;-)

For those of you feeling run down then why not try an anti-oxidant like Bio-Oxidate or Extreme Detox to help your body rid itself of toxins. Bio-oxidate is a natural remedy that encourages the body’s ability to counteract the effects of oxidization on cells and acts as a natural anti-oxidant to promote cell health. Extreme Detox is a natural blend of herbs designed to speedily flush your system of toxins for hours at a time.

Another really great detox product is Detox Drops. This is an all-round supplement for cleansing and recovery, helping you to flush your body whilst rejuvinating liver function. Not only will it help with bloating but it will also revive your body, kicking it back into life again.

Whilst discussing detoxing it would be silly not to mention a product that has been dubbed ‘the most important supplement that you are likely to take’. Liquid Zeolite has caught a lot of headlines recently, being of particular interest in cancer patients looking to boost their immune system and help their bodies fight the disease.

Liquid Zeolite is a ground-breaking food supplement that is used primarily to remove heavy metals and other toxins efficiently and safely from the body. It is fast acting and very effective, being used to help prevent and fight major ailments and diseases such as cancer, viruses, gastro diseases, premature aging and much more.

The only issue with this supplement at the moment seems to be the amount of confusing and contrasting information available about it on the web. Part of the problem is fact that it is a relatively new phenomenon to the general public and there are varying arguments as to how it should be best formulated. Another issue is that there are several Multi Level Marketing (MLM) companies flooding the market with over-priced products.  All we can advise is do your research and make sure you are comfortable with the product you choose.

When it comes to putting the detox into practice remember that although there are all these great dietary supplements custom designed to help you, you also need to put some effort in if you want to get maximum benefits. Here are some tips for getting the best out of your detox:

  • Avoid foods that contain preservatives. A close look at the label can tell you if the food contains preservatives.
  • Avoid or at least limit sugar consumption.
  • Certain food items are required to be kept at low temperatures. Such products are best bought directly from the store rather than home delivered, such as milk.
  • Stick to filtered or bottled water.
  • Keep your household free of chemical pollutants.
  • Learn about organic foods, and try to use them as much as possible.
  • Exercise is one of the best detox remedies as it helps to burn toxins in the body.

All said an done if you have detoxed effectively you should look and feel more energetic and healthy and maybe even benefit from a little bit of weight loss. A regular detox can do wonders for keeping you sprightly and looking great so if you’re gonna do it make sure you do it right!
